Digital Photography Primer

A while back, Joel and I decided on getting a digital SLR camera, specifically the Canon 30D with the Canon Zoom EF-S 17-85mm IS USM lens. It is dramatically different from the little digital camera that I like to bring out with me sometimes and takes such good pictures that it's hard to believe we have been doing design work for so long without one.
A great online resource that I loved while we were researching cameras is Philip Greenspun's "Building a Digital SLR Camera System." I'm saving up for another lens, and I searched frantically for this article, and luckily, I found it again!

Sugar and Cinnamon Bear Come Home!

I've been thinking for some time now that I should have bought these cute sugar and cinnamon bear holders from The Container Store when I saw them. I've never had a sugar shaker, and it's become rather inconvenient to keep taking down the 5 lb bag of sugar anytime I want a scoop. So yesterday, Romeo and I went to Old Town, and we stopped in at The Container Store. Sugar Bear was 50% off! Yay! Sometimes, my indecision pays off!
